All purchases are calculated in CANADIAN dollars
Fabric is priced and sold per quarter metre. If you want 1 metre, add 4 units to your cart. If you want 1.75 metres simply add 7 units to your cart.
All fabric will be cut as 1 piece, no matter the quantity chosen. For example - If you order 6 units which is 1.5 metres, it will be sent as 1 cut @ 1.5 metres.
All attempts will be made to keep the inventory up to date online. If for some reason there is not enough fabric to complete the order or the fabric is only available in smaller units - every attempt will be made to contact you first to inform you before item is shipped.
Please allow 2-3 days for a order to be filled and packed. Items will be shipped on Mondays and Thursdays. If something is ordered on a Saturday then every attempt will be made to have it shipped out with the Monday orders but it could take up to 3 days to be filled and shipped out on Thursday.
If you are local and see something you need right away, give me a call and I will do my best to accomodate your order for pick up.
The minimim cut for fabric sold online is a 1/4 metre in either a long or fat quarter. Fabric being sold by the .1m and 1/8 yard have been added to the newer fabric listing which allow for a wider variety of measurement cuts but the quarter metre measurement is still the minimum. The newer measurement allowance allows for example 5/8 yard or .6 metre etc. If you are local and would like to visit my Studio Shop, fabric is sold in any amount requested by the .1m. If the pattern calls for 1 yard that is actually .9 m which can be cut.
if there is a fabric you like but it’s out of stock please contact me. Some fabric lines that are carried in the store for sale are ones that can be ordered again but some are not.

Please call me for details on pricing. There are so many variables that go into pricing depending on density and difficulty of quilting. Until I am putting your quilt on and actually working on it, it’s difficult to give an exact quote. There may be extra charges for things like unsewn seams, wavy borders etc.
Some items on the website that are back ordered may still be able to be purchased. If an item is back ordered and increases in price by more than 10% retail than you will be asked to pay the difference or cancel the item at no additional cost. If the item has increases in price by less than 10% retail than you will not be charged the difference.
Shipping costs are based on a box supplied by Canada post that is approx 10” x 13.5 “ x 2” and includes up to 5 kg. Large, bulky or heavy items may incur an additional shipping cost beyond the predetermined websites shipping cost.
Bulk items will have an additional shipping charge on top of the websites pre determined shipping charge. When possible a shipping estimate has been included in the items description. If when the item is shipped, the shipping charge is more than $5 the actual shipping charge, the difference will be refunded. *See ‘what is considered a bulk item‘ in ‘The often asks questions‘ sections for further clarification of what will be charged an extra fee for shipping. Every effort has been made to be accurate in estimates.
A bulky item is considered any item that does not fit into the Canada Post flat rate box measuring 10” x 13.5” X 2”. Every effort has been made to include a note in the items description if it is considered a bulky item but things get missed and mistakes are made so the final shipping method at time of shipment will determine its ability to ship as a regular or bulky item. If it is determined to be a bulky item an additional shipping charge will be charged. Any amount over $5 the actual shipping charge will be refunded in full. It is not the intent of this store to make money on shipping charges. Any amount under $5 will not be refunded and will be used for the ‘unseen’ shipping cost which include but not limited to package materials and costs incurred in getting the Items to the post for shipping. Any costs over the shipping charges for shipping will come from me.
The cost to ship items fluctuates dramatically from item to item and is determined by weight and size. It is impossible for the website to determine what actual shipping charges will be. For this reason, most items will ship in a flat rate box provided by CANADA Post. The flat rate fee is $20 but the flat rate boxes themselves actually cost about $22 to ship. If items are small and can be shipped for less they will since the boxes actually cost me money to ship. It is suggested that since you will be paying the flat rate fee that you take advantage of that and purchase enough items to make it worth it since the additional items will not be charged any additional fees. The flat rate fee of $20 is for any items that will fit inside the CANADA Post flat rate box measuring 10” x 13.5” x %} and weighing no more than 5kg. Any items not able to fit in the flat rate boxes will be charged a bulk fee on top of the flat fee.
Every effort is made to only charge what shipping costs. On occasion someone may purchase a small item that is less expensive to ship. When this happens that item will not ship in a flat rate box. Because the boxes actually cost me money to ship it does not make financial sense to ship small items with little profit with an additional shipping costs out of my profits. An example of this would be that if someone purchased something that only produced a $10 profit but it actually cost me $2 more for the flat rate box than what I received . My perceived profit would be $8. This would be a perceived profit only because it does not take into consideration the ‘unseen’ shipping costs which could include but not limited to the cost of gas to drive the 25 minute round trip to the post office, the time it takes to do the drive, the parking, or the packaging materials. In the end, the item that you perceive as being way over charged for shipping on actually costs me money to sell to you. As the customer, you feel you have been ripped off even though you receive the item you ordered at the cost stated. As the owner, I have fulfilled the order and not only did I make no money on the order but it actually costs me money to ship you the item. To keep shipping charges down It is beneficial to place all items on the same order to rdeuce the shipping costs per item.
Some exemptioms may Include (i) bulky items incur an extra fee on top of the flat rate fee and are listed in the item description when *possible (ii) local drop off available at a set time and place in Kingston once a month for a $5 fee (iii) free local pick up at Quilt’n Things For You (iv) if ordering a *single pattern the shipping fee will be $10 which includes all the *unseen fees involved with shipping items. If you want to order a single pattern please message me before ordering.
*every effort has been made to be accurate and include the extra fee in the description. If an item does not fit into the CANADA Post flat rate box it is considered a bulky item.
*single pattern refers to a standard pattern sized approx 5”x 8” and does not include pattern sets or the large size patterns like the Laura Heine patterns for an example.
*unseen shipping costs include but are not limited to gas to get to the post office, time involved in getting to the post office, parking, packaging materials.
